Boxerbook in VS Code
Once VS Code knows the Boxerbook endpoint, it can look up fight cards and their broadcasters, fresh results, boxers' records, upcoming fights and the division rankings while it answers you. There is nothing to sign up for and no key to manage.
Endpoint (Streamable HTTP, keyless)https://mcp.boxerbook.com/mcpSteps
- From the Command Palette run MCP: Add Server and choose HTTP; or write the file
.vscode/mcp.jsonby hand. - The Boxerbook entry looks like this:
{ "servers": { "boxerbook": { "type": "http", "url": "https://mcp.boxerbook.com/mcp" } } } - Click Start above the entry in the file. Then open Copilot Chat, select Agent, and look for the Boxerbook tools in the tools picker.
Test question
Try “Using Boxerbook, where can I watch the biggest fight this Saturday?”. If the setup worked, VS Code runs where_to_watch, and its reply links to the Boxerbook pages behind each fact.
The tool output also includes as_of, the moment the data was read, and a url for the citation.
If something goes wrong
Copilot Chat shows no Boxerbook tools
Tools are only offered in Agent mode. Open the tools picker and tick the Boxerbook entries.
The server will not start
VS Code expects the top-level key "servers" (Cursor uses "mcpServers") and "type": "http" on the entry.
Covered topics
Upcoming cards with broadcasters, finished bouts with sources, boxer profiles, next opponents, individual bouts with forecast and betting consensus, rankings, plus search and fetch for ChatGPT. Details are on the tool pages; sample prompts are in the question list.
Guides for other apps
Other MCP-capable apps
Anything that speaks Streamable HTTP can point at https://mcp.boxerbook.com/mcp: the server is stateless and asks for no credentials. Its metadata lives in /.well-known/mcp.json, and the registry entry is com.boxerbook/boxing.
