Boxerbook in Claude Code
Once Claude Code knows the Boxerbook endpoint, it can look up fight cards and their broadcasters, fresh results, boxers' records, upcoming fights and the division rankings while it answers you. There is nothing to sign up for and no key to manage.
Endpoint (Streamable HTTP, keyless)https://mcp.boxerbook.com/mcpSteps
- In your shell, run:
claude mcp add --transport http boxerbook https://mcp.boxerbook.com/mcp - By default the server is registered for the current directory only; put
--scope userbefore the name to have Boxerbook in all your projects. - Confirm it with
claude mcp listin the shell, or type/mcpin a running session to see its status and tools.
Test question
Try “Use Boxerbook: when is the next fight of the boxer ranked first at welterweight?”. If the setup worked, Claude Code runs next_fight, and its reply links to the Boxerbook pages behind each fact.
The tool output also includes as_of, the moment the data was read, and a url for the citation.
If something goes wrong
Status “failed” next to boxerbook
Claude Code could not open an HTTPS connection to mcp.boxerbook.com. On a corporate network, export HTTPS_PROXY in the shell first and start Claude Code again.
Boxerbook is gone when I change directory
It was registered with the local (per-directory) scope. Run claude mcp remove boxerbook, then add it once more with --scope user.
Covered topics
Upcoming cards with broadcasters, finished bouts with sources, boxer profiles, next opponents, individual bouts with forecast and betting consensus, rankings, plus search and fetch for ChatGPT. Details are on the tool pages; sample prompts are in the question list.
